Let me introduce myself.
I am a semi-retired Piano Tutor and Musical Coach, an acclaimed former concert pianist, and a student of the legendary pedagogue, composer and pianist Peter Feuchtwanger, with whom I studied from 1992 until the early 2000’s.
Having set up my teaching practice in 1983, my forty-six years of experience established me as one of Hertfordshire’s premier teachers of classical piano. Sought-after across Herts, Beds and Bucks, I have also in constant and high demand for Piano Accompaniment in instrumental Graded Exams, Auditions and Festival Performances.
In July 2026 I wound up my teaching practice in Hertfordshire, retiring to Carmarthenshire in South Wales.
In my new home in South Wales, I am delighted to invite a very limited number of gifted students on the following basis:
*Vacancies exist for a small number of advanced ad hoc students of post-Grade 8/ARSM/DipABRSM level, either adolescent or adult, student, semi-professional or professional. Lessons would be taken at intervals of two to four weeks, on a flexible basis, payment to be made per lesson.
*A very small number of highly gifted students of a minimum of Grade 6 level may be accepted. Again, lessons would be ad hoc.
*Acceptance of a student is based on an initial consultation session (free of charge), and should not be assumed to be automatic.
*Lessons on a pre-paid, termly-block basis are not currently offered.
*Lessons are taken at my home address in Carmarthenshire. In the future (dependent of suitable equipment being acquired) I may offer tuition remotely via Zoom in the case of distant or overseas students.
